Erica Mou: Band In A Box

Erica Mou – Torno a casa (Live @ Teatro Forma, Bari)

I ran across this video by Erica Mou who has a lot of videos available on YouTube.

Of course I stopped and checked it out because … after all, she is playing an acoustic guitar.

But this video is not about great playing. Truth is, it’s average……

although very competent.

But that’s not why I’m sharing this video…. what is captivating here is what Erica Mou and her music partner are doing with technology and building of a song live on stage. This is all accomplished with a looper that records a measure or two of a part you perform- hit the switch and then it plays back. Good job here of making an exciting video. Now if you want to see an advanced version of this with outrageous guitar playing by Phil Keaggy, check this out after watching this. You won’t believe it!
