Tommy Emmanuel- Technique to Artificial Harmonics

Well in this above video Tommy demonstrates how he does it.

I found it fascinating….  not only for the harmonic lesson but his talk about  “house cleaning” on the guitar. This is very important and something that I’ve been personally paying good attention to recently.

If you keep repeating the same thing over and over…..

It’s like a lick or riff that you’ve been playing a long time- you just don’t have to think about it anymore.

Same goes with learning new stuff. Give yourself enough time, work at it and suddenly your fingers will remember where to go all by themselves.  That’s the magic he is talking about.

But to get there,  you have to practice.
