I Walk The Line- FAMOUS INTRO – Fingerstyle
Here’s the fingerstyle version of the popular I walk the Line Intro, which features an in depth look into a fingerstyle form called Travis Picking (or sort of). In this video (and free sheet music and tab) we will also focus in on the single string melody notes, and play it with the thumb- either with a thumbpick or without.
This style technically is not exact Travis picking due the fact that we are not muting the bass notes.
The muted bass notes however, are not a part of the original recording of I walk the Line, however, it has become a very popular way to play this classic intro over the years.
