David Russell- His Secret to His Guitar Success

In this video, Virtuoso guitarist David Russell gives some great insights on what makes him tick as a guitarist.

He explains that he has a routine for himself, usually first thing in the morning.

“Start with basics” he says, and warm up getting your hands acclimated to the guitar.

This routine of starting each morning is what he calls “his secret” to good guitar.

He also goes on to explain the importance of enthusiasm- and why it’s important to take a break from learning-  to just enjoy the guitar with a song or piece that is easy and fun to play.

“We have to remember why we started playing guitar in the first place.”
