David Cook – Playing Only 4 Years

David Cook – Journey of Hope (Fingerstyle Guitar) Original

Rotterdam guitarist David Cook has only been playing the guitar for 4 years…

4 years….

Well…

There’s a lot of guitarists watching this video that won’t believe it. But I do.

At his facebook site, David says that one of his big influences was Tommy Emmanuel.

A lesson to be learned here … when you raise the bar that high, falling short is not such a bad place to be. And David Cook in my opinion has not fallen that far.

Keep on pickin’!

Here’s his write-up bio that he has on his facebook site which is https://www.facebook.com/DavidCookFingerstyle/info

“I started out playing guitar around August 2009. Later that year I found out about fingerpicker Tommy Emmanuel and felt inspired to continue my music. Because I only had my electric guitar, fingerpicking was kind of odd sounding. After a year and a half I bought my very first acoustic guitar in April 2011, and my struggle on electric guitar paid of nicely. Till this day I’ve played alot on this Furch guitar, love this brand, warm sounding guitar. In the future I would like to play gigs, sharing my music even more to the public.
Artists We Also Like Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, Stephen Benneth, Leo Kottke, Harry Sacksioni, Joe Robinson, Gareth Pearson, and many more”
