Everyone Has A Hero- Even Tommy Emmanuel

There’s really nothing like Tommy Emmanuel, in just about every category of guitar playing, this guy is pretty much the King of it all.

How does someone get this good? Well, my friend Tommy Doyle (phenomenal guitarist that was with Les Paul for many years) told me that Emmanuel just walks around with his guitar all day long… it’s like a part of him.

Now this video is cool because Tommy tells the story about getting to play with one of his guitar hero’s, Arthur Smith.

Here’s the YouTube description…

“Tommy Emmanuel covers Arthur Smith’s famous “Guitar Boogie” using the original trophy 1930 Martin guitar used in Smith’s recording, given to him by Chet Atkins. Tommy prefaces, talking fondly of his first meeting with Smith. Live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles 2-15-2012.” page here
