Tommy, Frank, Vinny – How High The Moon

This is a video from a live radio show at WGN featuring Tommy Emmanuel, Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo performing “How High The Moon.”

People always consider this a Les Paul song since he and Mary Ford made it a hit back in the early 50’s. But it was written by Nancy Hamilton (lyrics) and music by Morgan Lewis.

Of course, Tommy is lights out as usual and Frank is no slouch either. Vinny primarily is in the supportive role of rhythm guitar.

  1. As truly fantastic as this is , even three of the finest, still hold nothing over the great Les Paul. There are so many videos out there in Cyber-land showing Les as he performs this “live”, with all his ground-breaking machinery engaged.. and of course with Mary Ford.. As a youngster I remember seeing them on our lil’ole’
12″ T.V. he is the reason that I’ve stuck with the guitar for ’bout 50 years now ….
