Street Guitar #6: Street Trio Performs “In The Mood”

Here’s a trio of street guitarists performing Glen Miller’s  “In The Mood.”

The video creator says it was shot in La Rambla, Barcelona.

The guy in the middle and on right are trading off here with solos, and the guy on the left is doing walking bass lines primarily.

The video is not of the whole song but gives you an idea of what a Spanish trio sounds like on an American classic not set for the guitar.

Apparently Barcelona is a hot bed for street musicians as most of the videos I’ve found originate from here. Is it because tourists with video cameras are there? Why would anyone be carrying a video camera in say, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh Pa?

One thing is for sure- you would never hear musicians like this in the USA (meaning, they all have that European sound and style).
