Erik Mongrain- Guitar lap tap

Here’s some pertty awesome guitar tapping by French Canadian guitarist Erik Mongrain. And he’s holding it like it’s a dobro (for those of you that don’t know what a dobro is, look up a Jerry Douglas video).

It would seem to me that this is a better way to tap as you have your entire right hand able to move around the neck.
