Gordon Lightfoot Performs with the “Mystery Guitarist”
Here’s one of my favorite singer/songwriters- Gordon Lightfoot singing one of his all time greatest hits “If You Could Read My Mind.”
This was filmed back in 74 so once again, great sound on the guitars.
Now I say guitars because even though you can’t see him , there is another guitarists with Gordon (off to the right).
I want to know why this “mystery guitarist” is performing in the dark?
Is he shy, or did Gordon want all of the limelight (literally?)

I don’t know, you could see him before they dimmed the light. Any way the song was a big hit and this is a way to spotlight that, plus it creates an intimacy appropriate to the song. No foul here.
