Glenn Campbell burns up Gentle On My Mind

Sometimes it’s easy to overlook some of the great players of the recent past. .. one of them being Glenn Campbell who got his start as a studio guitarist and made his way to the pop country spotlight singing songs like John Hartford’s  “Gentle On My Mind.”

There’s no info on this clip, but it’s looking like a CMT (Country Music Television) out of Nashville TN.

One thing that is of note that I think you will agree… The technology of the plugged in acoustic sound has really come a long way.  The sound of his guitar is exactly why purists were always so against the under the saddle pickups. Nonetheless, Glenn’s playing here is just fantastic so, just make your way past the older pickup technology on this one and enjoy his fine playing.
