Pietro Nobile: Smooth Presentation

Massimo Sposaro turned me on to this guitarist by the name of Pietro Nobile, and was nice enough to send me a bio on this smooth guitarist. A lot of you listening will really enjoy Pietro's live tone in this video, as well as his accuracy with both complex and simple passages. Fine playing.

Pietro Nobile bio's Acoustic guitarist, composer, arranger, producer and demonstrator of Elisir strings- DPA microphone-Guild-Ovation-Fenders guitars (sponsored by M.Casale Bauer). Pietro began his career at a young age, playing solo concerts. At the age of 20, he was invited to Paris by Herber Pagani and Marcel Dadi with whom he performed and had a brief tour in the USA. His recording career to date has included four solo albums of his own original compositions (Waiting, La Citta de Sogni, Volo Libero, Indefinito Infinto) , collaborations with Italian and International artists (Lavezzi-Mogol, Herber Pagani, Flavio Oreglio, Gatto Panceri, Simone Borghi, Vinnie Colaiuta, Simon Phillips, Tony Levin). Two of his original compositions were included in the compilation album “Eterea 1 & 3” which featured artists Sting, Paul McCartney and Ryuich Sakamoto. EMI sold 110,000 copies . Pietro has also successfully produced for other recording artists. Pietro was voted best Italian acoustic guitarist for three years in a row by the readers of Guitar Club. He has appeared on various television and radio productions in Italy, Europe and Canada. His popularity has grown amongst French speaking countries due to his frequent appearances at international music festivals ( Montreux Jazz Festival, Oympia de Paris, Un été à Bourges, Festival des Guitares du Monde (Canada) , Paléo Festival Nyon (Ginevra) , Festival d'Issoudun, Festival del Sahara (Tunisia), East Eruropa as Coroatia and Cechia (Bratislava) and not to mention (Blue Note) Milan where he lives and teaches contemporary acoustic guitar and the unique style of “Fingerstyle” of which he is a master. He is mentioned in various educational publications and instructing seminars ( Multimedia Encyclopedia of the guitar CPM- Mediaworld, Guitar video course - Fabbri, The guitar Fingerstyle- Carish) . He was made a patron of the “acoustic guitar' section at Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation (Swiss/French) and teaches acoustic guitar at the 'CPM' of Franco Mussida in Milan. For the past 18 years he has written articles for specialist acoustic guitar trade magazines . In 2010 he did a series of interviews about his work for the publications Musical Instruments, Guitar Club and Computer Music and Project Studio with whom he achieved a dedicated cover photo. In January 2012 Pietro appeared on the cover of Acoustic Guitar alongside an exclusive interview. In the same month videos were taken of his performance at the Teatro Petrella di Longiano in preparation for the production of his new DVD. Pietro's musical compositions are extremely evocative, pure and direct. His music creates a bridge between popular and classical music which has increased his popularity with both the public and the critics.
