Andrés Chiu: Fingerstyle From China

The young Chinese guitarist Andrés Chiu shared on our facebook page his cover of “Orelia” by Ryan Keen. Quite a good one!

I find it interesting that we are starting to see more and more singer/songwriters performing what I would call an added complexity of guitar backing behind their vocal. Used to be that a singer/songwriter only just had to “get by” with their guitar, let the vocal and song provide the majority of sound. Andres definitely falls into this new breed of musician by utilizing tapping and percussive guitar techniques.
