Steve Morse: Acoustic Solo

Even though the the guitar in this video is very much processed, I would still regard this as an acoustic performance, mainly because of the fingerpicking technique mastered here by Steve Morse. In this live performance in New York in 1992, he played three pieces

“Northern Lights”, from Dixie Dregs’ Album “Free Fall” (1977)

“Picture This”, a piece compised by Steve in 1991 for a guitar compilation

“Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, a transcription for guitar of the famous last movement of Bach’s Cantata BWV 147
