Richard Capener: Tapping Out A Sweet Melody

Here’s guitarist Richard Capener with a very easy peaceful feeling
original song entitled “Tiny Winks,” which is from his CD – ‘Slinky Little Lizard’.

I had this song going on right after arguing about an overcharge on my credit card- it was the perfect medicine  to calm me down. I really like the Db to D note bend as part of the melody in the song. Yea it’s simple, but it’s just perfect. Seems like the tapping is just to get out the melody. I appreciate that.

Richard Capener Biography:

“With wide musical interests and over 30 years of exploring the guitar and composition as a self taught musician Richard draws his experiences and his influences together to form his punchy, expressive, and “mesmerising” playing style.

2009’s debut solo album River was a extremely well received by live crowds, fellow musicians and the music press, earning praise as “really musical and powerful” by the mighty Pierre Bensusan, and “I wish my first album was that good” from the grooveacious Thomas Leeb. A concept album,“Exploring the river from source to sea through his swirling, lyrical and often playful guitar, Capener genuinely captures the feeling of a summer afternoon with water trickling by. Excellent stuff” – Acoustic Magazine. Richard has been busy entertaining since, playing everything from small clubs to theatre venues via just about every other kind of gig along the way, including festival appearances, guitar show appearances as a demonstrator for Lowden Guitars, and support gigs for BBC Folk Award nominees Mawkin and twice U.S National Fingerstyle Champion, Don Ross.” more here
