Michel Haumont: Elusive Guitarist

Even though Michel Haumont is often referred on the web as one of the finest French pickers, it is not easy to find information about him. He doesn’t have any official website and any youtube channel. According to a short bio in French,  he recorded his first album in 1976, when he was 17 years old, and then he started a long career touring around the world.

From  one of the facebook pages dedicated to him, I learned that he is going to have a concert with Shunga Jung, to whom he recently dedicated also a composition. Some videos of previous sessions with the young Korean guitarist are available on youtube.

Here he plays his composition “Ma Guitare” from the Album “Ma Guitar” (2004).
