This is a song that has a little bit of a special meaning to me-
Well, not so much the song but the original guitarist that played on the original recording.
Do you remember that low sounding electric guitar riff in the original?
Well, that was performed by an old friend of mine by the name of Billy Strange.
Not too many people know that, or who Billy is but…. actually you may indeed remember him. He was the guitarist with Tennessee Ernie Ford, and also a session guitarists in Nashville for many years. I worked with Billy back in the mid 90’s with his publishing company Movieville Music. He was also helping our band out at the time and, he also got Nancy Sinatra (Frank’s daughter) to cut one of my songs.
