Mark O’Connor… a 14 year old kid gets on stage.

Proceeds to flatpick the Dixie Breakdown….

no one has heard flatpicking like this before (unless you knew of Mark back then).

Be prepared to get blown away. That’s the good news.

The bad part of this video is…. it’s not a video.

But then again .. lucky to at least have this recorded.

This was a mind altering performance for anyone that played bluegrass at the time.

I just love the opening video thumb with Tony Rice looking on at Mark. I wonder what Tony is thinking?
