Guitar Whiz Kids… Talent, Genius or Discipline?

“The skill and ability and intelligence of these children show talent of genius,” is the caption translated in the video description.

I almost decided not to put this up on the site but while watching, I couldn’t help think of the dance recital my wife and I were at with our own grand kids. Well it was cute and everything but,  it wasn’t anything as organized as this video. In all these so called child virtuoso vids you will  notice that it is always featuring kids from Japan, China, Korea, Brazil, South America etc…

I’ll ask you this question… Why is it that you will never see a kid video like this made in the USA? Does becoming a great guitarist takes discipline or are American children just not talented enough?
