Sharon Isbin Performs Asturias by Isaac Albeniz

“Professor” Sharon Isbin is an American-born (Minnesota) classical guitarist with multiple degrees from Yale.

She has studied with Segovia among others, and founded the guitar department at Julliard.

She has recorded duets with Joan Baez, Mark O’Connor, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Nancy Wilson and many others, and her music is part of the soundtrack for the film”The Departed”.

She has a flair for the dramatic, but her passion for the guitar is real. Her she performs Segovia’s arrangement of Albeniz’s “Asturias” in a video produced to promote her cd “Guitar Passions” which was released August 30, 2011.
