Bruce Springsteen Turns Street Musician

Here’s Bruce Springsteen Live out in the streets in Copenhagen 23-07-1988

This is obviously from some time ago…

you’ might wonder if Bruce would do such a thing today?

I’ll have some conjecture here in a moment…

The songs he’s doing here are as follows: I’m on Fire, the River and Dancing in the Dark in the Streets of Copenhagen.

Okay, here’s some personal info about Bruce that may be of interest to you.

Musician buds of mine who played a gig at a school near Asbury New Jersey not too long ago were all excited to report that Bruce showed up at the gig unannounced, came back stage and asked very politely if he could sit in with the band for a couple of songs. Needless to say, everybody’s jaws dropped in disbelief that such a mega star would do such a thing.

Others that I know that have met and worked with Bruce had nothing but the best things to say about this humble man, who never lost site of who he was or where he came from.

Now I like his songs and he’s got a distinctive voice… yea, you know it’s him in 2 bars. But knowing that he’s such a decent person makes it all the more easy to cheer for the boss.

So the answer to the question of whether or not he would do something like this at his age today… definite yes to that.
