Gaven Largent: Bluegrass Kid Plays Nashville

“Just as classical musicians aspire to perform one day at New York’s Carnegie Hall, country and bluegrass musicians dream of playing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Thirteen-year-old Gaven Largent will be doing just that next month. VOA’s Susan Logue caught up with him at his home in Winchester, Virginia, and prepared this profile.”

We don’t get to see a performance here, just little snippets of Gaven Largent playing some guitar, banjo and dobro. Gavin was featured on local VA television who at the time was headed to Nashville for some shows and places that most people will never get the chance to perform at. It’s great to be young and talented!

I looked for some follow up material to see how he did but was unable to find anything. I’m sure he did great.

Gavin has made his rounds, a feature in IBMA’s Bluegrass kids and is also featured on a few other YouTube Videos (check out).
