Jake Allen: Eleanor Rigby Gets A Facelift

Here’s Jake Allen with his unique version of the Beatles song Eleanor Rigby.

He’s even changed a few of the original chords “when there’s nobody there” and “walks from the grave” … C Minor instead of C Major.

Great singing and guitar playing for sure and something I think a lot of you will appreciate.

On thing I did notice, …

This recording I don’t think is done along with this video, as I can hear a little reverb in the loud passages. If you were to record something like this outside in this setting, there would be a lot of ambient sounds filtering into the recording. And there’s no microphones and not even a cord coming out of his guitar to pick the guitar up.

But his timing is so good both on the video and the recording that it’s unnoticeable to most.

Thanks go to Kent La Gree for sharing this with us at our facebook site. I agree with you, he is amazing!
