The Sleepy Man Banjo Boys: Sally Goodin/ Clintch MT. Backstep

This video, which looks like it was  shot at a night club, is called TEDTalks, a daily video podcast featuring some music and mostly non music acts talking about Technology, design, science, business, global issues etc, all in 18 minute (or less) .

Okay, now that I got all of that out of the way….

Chances are, these brothers have a parent or parents into bluegrass music…and these siblings have been going to festivals and bluegrass events for as long as they can remember.  You don’t just think that one day the kids got together and asked “Hey Dad, can you buy us all some really expensive instruments so we can form a bluegrass band?”

The brother playing the guitar obviously has listened to a lot of the greats, and even has some of  Cody Kilby’s moves down.  I predict he’s gonna be a flatpicking champion… and you read it here first…

I applaud these kids big time for such a great accomplishment at such a young age. In my opinion, I think the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys have a very bright future ahead!
