Merle Travis & Thom Bresh: Father & Son

I remember a while back Vassar Clements talking about a recording session he was planning with Thom Bresh.

Who’s Thom Bresh?

Vassar told me it was Merle Travis’ son.

Well, I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, as Vassar then told me months later that you can close your eyes and never know the difference between the two.

This video is just plain old fun to watch as Merle and Thom not only show off some solid pickin’ but  some “showmanship” that makes watching them so compelling.
